In collaboration with the HeadSpace international artist residency programme, we invite artist to live and work at Kayamori House. Artists can relax and be inspired by the rich abundance of nature and wildlife literally on our doorstep. Extensive workshop space, equipment, and the Kura Gallery for small exhibitions, makes Kayamori House ideal for artist to create and showcase their work in a unique location.

It's our great pleasure to introducing our next artists in residence, Bill Will & LeBrie Rich (Pen Felt) from Portland, Oregon, USA. Bill and LeBrie will be in residence at Kayamori House during May 2012.
LeBrie (AKA. PenFelt) is an artist with a love of textiles, paper and pattern.
Bill Will is a sculptor and installation artist who has exhibited extensively for more than 25 years.

Ann-Marie James lived and worked at Kayamori House for over a week this spring. Ann-Marie is a fine artist from London, UK, and was the HeadSpace resident artist during her visit to Japan.

March 2011
Mark Goss was artist in residence at HeadSpace Studio down in Nara city during March 2011 and visited Kayamori a few times during his residency. In his usual high energy / high speed style, Mark created this great mural on the sliding doors in the main house in just a few hours. He also helped out on the farm, made t-shirts, and painted another mural at the farmer's market we did with Satoyama. All that was on top of the work he did at the residency, busy boy!
